- What areas do you serve?
- We're based in Rosemount and serve the surrounding south metro, including Apple Valley, Lakeville, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Inver Grove Heights, Woodbury, and Cottage Grove. Nearby but not listed? Call 651-423-3802 and ask — we're flexible for our neighbors.
- Do you offer free estimates?
- Yes — estimates on replacement heating and cooling systems are always free. You'll get a complete written price with equipment options, not a teaser number that grows later.
- What brands do you work on?
- We repair and maintain all major brands — Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Goodman, Rheem, Bryant, York, and more. For new installations we're a Carrier dealer, recognized with the Carrier President's Award.
- Do you offer emergency service?
- Yes. 24-hour emergency service is available for true emergencies like no heat in freezing weather. Regular hours are Monday–Friday, 7 AM–7 PM, with weekends handled on an emergency basis.
- Is financing available?
- Yes — financing is available on new system installations, subject to approved credit. Ask about current options when you schedule your free estimate.
- How often should my furnace and AC be serviced?
- Once a year each: the furnace in fall before heating season, the AC in spring before cooling season. Our maintenance plans bundle both visits with priority scheduling and repair discounts.
- What is a maintenance plan and is it worth it?
- A maintenance plan covers your annual furnace and AC tune-ups, moves you to the front of the line during peak-season scheduling, and discounts repairs. If you'd schedule both tune-ups anyway, the plan typically pays for itself — and we call you when it's time, so nothing gets forgotten.
- How do I know whether to repair or replace my system?
- Rule of thumb: if the system is 15+ years old and the repair costs more than half of a replacement, replace. We'll always show you both numbers — the repair quote and a free replacement estimate — and let you decide with real figures.
- How long has Groff been in business?
- Since 1991. We're a family-run company based on South Robert Trail in Rosemount, with NATE-certified technicians serving the same south-metro communities for over three decades.
- How do I schedule service?
- Call 651-423-3802 or use the request form on our contact page. For no-heat or no-cool emergencies, calling is fastest — emergencies get priority routing.
